South Brunswick High Teens Interview Teachers Who Are Vets

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Check out this video the South Brunswick High School Student Council made for Veterans' Day.

The high school students interviewed teachers and administrators on staff who also happen to be veterans, either retired or active duty. For example, did you know:

Phys. ed teacher Raymond Ostrowski can usually be found in the high school gym, but he's also served for the past 23 years in the U.S. Army Reserves?

Administrator Yoshi Donato was a master sergeant in the United States Army?

Math teacher Brit Arnold has been a member of the New Jersey National Guard for the past 25 years?

Spanish teacher Margarita Haberthur is a sergeant in the Army Reserves?

Or that paraprofessional Gene Hutmaker served in Vietnam?

Science teacher Ithan Zimmer was known as Capt. Zimmer when he served in the U.S. Navy from 1986 to 2016. "It was the best thirty years of my life," Zimmer told the students. "Please make sure you thank a veteran today. It is much appreciated."
