South Brunswick Home Badly Damaged In Fire Monday
A home on Kingsland Circle having remodeling work done on it was badly damaged in a fire Monday afternoon in South Brunswick, police report.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A home on Kingsland Circle having remodeling work done on it was badly damaged in a fire Monday afternoon in South Brunswick, police report.
At 3:30 p.m. Monday, South Brunswick police received a 911 call of smoke coming from a Kingsland Circle home. Officers arrived to find heavy smoke from the side and roof of the home, where a contractor had been working.
The homeowner was already out and officers evacuated the surrounding homes.

All three South Brunswick fire companies — Kingston, Monmouth Junction and Kendall Park — along with several neighboring fire departments battled the blaze. In total, it took 63 firefighters to fight this blaze; the fire was contained to the one house of origin.
Several EMS units responded but there were no injuries. The South Brunswick Fire Marshall deemed the fire was not suspicious. What exactly caused it was not released by police.
