South Brunswick Homeowner Chases Burglars, Causes Them To Crash
Breaking: A South Brunswick homeowner chased two burglars away, causing them to crash their car. They were arrested.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick police released a somewhat incredible video this week, that shows a homeowner chasing after two suspects who were breaking into cars in the area. The suspects then crashed their car and were arrested by police.
The incident began at 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning, June 7, when police were called to a car break-in in progress on Kimberly Court.
South Brunswick resident Mohammad Farooqi saw the suspects breaking into his car, and then fleeing, so — shockingly — he got into his own car and chased them. He was able to get the license plate of the suspect’s vehicle.

Minutes later police were told the suspect's vehicle had crashed off Rt. 27 in Princeton. Officer Jason Gassman and Officer Brooke Labell arrived and found Mwanza Fitzpatrick and Jose Rosado, both 18, both of North Brunswick standing outside the crash vehicle. Officers determined the suspect had broken into a half dozen cars over the past two nights.
The officers recovered jewelry, cash, and a laptop that had been stolen. The suspects are charged in connection to six car burglaries on Kimberly Court, Creekside Court and Dunston Lane in South Brunswick. The suspects were released on a summons pending their first court appearance.
