South Brunswick July 4th Fireworks 2018: All The Details

South Brunswick fireworks will be on Tuesday, July 3 this year at Crossroads South. Festivities begin at 6 p.m.; fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick Mayor Charlie Carley and members of the South Brunswick Council have announced this year’s Independence Day Celebration which will take place Tuesday, July 3 from 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on the fields of Crossroads Middle School.

The school is located on the corner of Major Road and Kingston Lane. The rain date for the Independence Day Celebration is July 6.

The program begins at 6:00 p.m. and the fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. This free event will have live music, food vendors and fireworks.

This year “The Fabulous Grease Band” will be playing music from the 1960s through the present.

The event is annually one of the largest Township-sponsored gatherings.

South Brunswick police are advising residents that there will be increased traffic in and around the school and surrounding neighborhoods. The streets of Major Road, Kingston Lane and Georges Road will have increased pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Officers will be stationed in and around the event to assist with traffic issues.

There will be no parking allowed on Major Road near the school. Police anticipate the greatest volume of traffic between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., with fireworks scheduled to go off at 9:15 p.m.

PARKING:

The primary location for parking will be Crossroads South Middle School parking lots off Kingston Lane. There will be no general parking at the Crossroads North parking lots off Georges Road. Additional parking will be at the South Brunswick Public Library and the Municipal Complex.
