South Brunswick Lady Vikings U-14 on a Roll

Vikings reach tournament championship game for the second consecutive week

The South Brunswick Lady Vikings U-14 Softball Team finished as Runner Up in the Howell  Hurricane "Eye of the Storm" Tournament.  The Lady Vikings beat the Toms River Tornadoes 15-0, the Manalapan Belles 3-2, and the Montgomery Mavericks 9-3 on Sunday to reach the tournament championship game for the second consecutive week.

Lincoln Park edged the Lady Vikings 9-6 in the final game.  There was standout play from all eleven members of the team.  Most of the girls have played together for 4-5 years now and it really shows.  Every win is a total team effort.  This weekend they displayed their trademark defense, pitching, timely hitting and excellent baserunning. 

The team is led by Jenna Mastronardi, Jenny Hamilton, Callie Hamilton, Sydney Demkowicz, Allsion Boni, Amanda Fisher, Casey Notarianni, Nikki Cavett, Emily Grossi, Kristen Miele, and Jordan Schatzman.

In seven tournament games over the weekend, the Lady Vikings outscored their opponents 53-30.  The girls' goal is to compete and have a chance to win every tournament they play in.  The Team is Coached by Mike Hamilton, Patti Notarianni, Rich Fisher, and Joe Mastronardi.
