South Brunswick Lady Vikings U-14 Softball Reaches USSSA Summer Blast Finals
Lady Vikings outscored their opponents by a margin of 48-20

The South Brunswick Lady Vikings U-14 Softball Team reached the Finals in the USSSA Summer Blast World Series Qualifier in Medford on the weekend of June 18-19.
The girls defeated the Cheltenham Twisters from Pennsylvania 9-5, and the South Jersey Wildcats from New Jersey 9-0 in the preliminary round on Saturday, when they also lost to the Brandywine Blast from Delaware by the score of 10-7.
On Sunday, the girls again defeated Cheltenham 9-1, and gained revenge by crushing the Brandywine Blast 12-0 in a rematch, to reach the finals. The championship game was one of the most memorable in recent history with the Lady Vikings losing a nail biter 4-2 to the Extreme NJ team.

The Lady Vikings were led by Amanda Fisher, Casey Notarianni, Callie Hamilton, Jenny Hamilton, Sydney Demkowicz, Jenna Mastronardi, Allison Boni, Emily Grossi, Kristen Miele, Jordan Schatzman, and Nikki Cavett.
The head coach is Mike Hamilton, Assistant Coaches are Rich Fisher, Joe Mastronardi and Patti Notarianni. Overall in the qualifier, the Lady Vikings outscored their opponents by a margin of 48-20. They got great pitching and amazing defense throughout the tournament.
