South Brunswick Is Looking To Hire Adult School Crossing Guards

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Township is looking to hire adult school crossing guards on a part-time basis.

Crossing guards will be responsible for regulating traffic in order for school children to safely cross the road from one during designated hours.

The work will be performed outdoors regardless of weather and they will be posted anywhere throughout the township. Crossing guards will be at designated locations and at regularly specified times. These timings are subject to change based on school schedules.

The school crossing guards will be issued a uniform that shall be worn during working hours.

Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old and possess a high school diploma (or GED). They must have a valid NJ Driver’s License with a good driving record.

The police department will conduct a background check on all prospective applicants. They will receive a salary of $12.38 - $24.77.
