South Brunswick Muslims Volunteer During Ramadan

They are encouraging Muslims during Ramadan to reach out to their non-Muslim friends to help spread peace, love and mercy by sharing food.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick Muslims invite everyone in the community to join them in their Ramadan Sharing Initiative, which will run during the entire month of Ramadan, from May 26 - June 24.

They are encouraging Muslims during the month of fasting to reach out to their non-Muslim friends, neighbors, co-workers and others to help spread peace, love and mercy by sharing food, writes Azra Baig, a South Brunswick resident and member of the Islamic Society of Central Jersey, which is located on Rt. 1 in Monmouth Junction. One can share a plate of cookies, a jar of dates, a bag of candy or a basket of goodies. Please help spread the word by reposting, sharing and inviting others to the “Ramadan Sharing Initiative."

Below is a photo of volunteers at the Islamic Society of Central Jersey making lunches for the needy/homeless through the Muslims Against Hunger Hunger Van Program. That was last Saturday, May 27, the first day of Ramadan.
