South Brunswick PD To Participate In Special Olympics Torch Run
Fourteen officers and clerical staff will be running in the 38th Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Officers from the South Brunswick Police Department will be participating in the Special Olympics Torch Run this Friday.
The 38th Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run will benefit Special Olympics. The torch will be carried over more than 750 miles throughout New Jersey Friday, June 11.
Fourteen officers and clerical staff from South Brunswick will be participating. The first run will be at 6 a.m. on Route 130 for 6 miles, followed by another at 10 a.m., between south Brunswick High School, Monmouth Junction Elementary, and Crossroads Middle School for 3.5 miles.

"These runs highlight the commitment and connections between our officers and community,” said Chief Raymond Hayducka.
“I want to specifically recognize Sgt. Nate Labuda for all the work he puts into making the run a success. Sgt. Labuda’s effort along with the PBA, FOP, and South Brunswick School District are making a difference for NJ Special Olympics."

More than 3,000 law enforcement officers from New Jersey will take the streets in their local communities on Friday. The run has been split up into 26 separate legs.
