South Brunswick Police Accepting Applications For 2026 Youth Police Academy
The free summer program is open to incoming 6th graders and includes crime scene investigation, first aid training & a graduation ceremony.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The South Brunswick Township Police Department is accepting applications for its 2026 Youth Police Academy, a week-long summer program open to students entering sixth grade in September.
The academy will be held at South Brunswick Police Department headquarters at 540 Ridge Road and will run two sessions: July 13-17 and July 20-24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Space is limited to 30 students per session.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction in crime scene investigation, arrest procedures, motor vehicle stops, fire safety and basic first aid.

Each student will receive a police-issued uniform including a T-shirt, shorts, and hat. The program also includes daily activities, group exercises, a pizza lunch on the final day, and a graduation ceremony open to families.
