South Brunswick Police Charge Man For Cyber Harassment
Police said Sudeep Khetani allegedly harassed, threatened and used sexually explicit language with restaurant employees.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The South Brunswick Township Police Department on Wednesday announced the arrest of a man for cyber harassment.
According to police, Sudeep Khetani, a resident of Kendall Park made several calls to various local restaurants between Jan. 15 to April 9, ordering thousands of dollars-worth of food, with no intention to pay.
Police said Khetani allegedly harassed, threatened and used sexually explicit language with restaurant employees. He was charged on Tuesday.

Khetani is also a suspect in similar incidents in nearby towns, said the police. The investigation was conducted by the police department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police Chief Raymond J. Hayducka praised Detective Tom Hoover for his work on the case.

“Detective Hoover filed many subpoenas, conducted numerous interviews, and exhausted all investigative means to bring this case to a successful conclusion. His hard work put an end to Khetani’s alarming actions,” said Hayducka in a statement.
According to police, Khetani caused restaurant owners in town a lot of hardship and loss of revenue during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Khetani is currently lodged in the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center, pending his first court appearance.
He is also charged with Promoting Prostitution from an unrelated 2019 incident, said the police.
