South Brunswick Public Library Will Host New York Times Columnist

Anand Giridharadas will speak at the library's annual Book & Author Dinner

New York Times columnist and author Anand Giridharadas will speak at South Brunswick Public Library's Annual Book & Author Dinner on Oct 16.

Giridharadas is a frequent commentator on some of the nation's top news channels, including CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and the daily show. In addition to writing his bi-weekly New York Times column Letter From America, Giridharadas has published two books: The True American: Murder and Mercy in Texas, and India Calling: An Intimate Portrait of a Nation's Remaking. The True American is currently being considered for a movie adaptation.

Previously, Giridharadas has spoken at Google, the United Nations, a host of Ivy League schools, and has given a TED Talk.

Tickets are $65 and include a meal and one of Giridharadas' books. Event tickets are considered a donation, and part of them can be tax-deductible, according to the event information page.
