South Brunswick Schools Remain Closed Friday, Jan. 5
Princeton school district and West Windsor-Plainsboro schools will be closed all day Friday, as well.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Children of South Brunswick, you have a four-day weekend: South Brunswick public schools will remain closed again on Friday, Jan. 5.
Many school districts across the state decided to remain closed on Friday: East Brunswick school district will be closed, as will Woodbridge. Clark School District has a 90-minute delayed opening. Princeton school district and West Windsor-Plainsboro schools will be closed all day Friday, as well.
South Brunswick received six inches of snow total. Police said they cannot emphasis enough how bad the roads were on Thursday.

Starting at 6 a.m. Thursday morning, South Brunswick Police in total handled 84 incidents, with 11 motor vehicle crashes and 15 motor vehicle assists. Several roads had to be closed for periods of time Thursday, including Rt. 1, Rt. 32, Rt. 130 and Ridge Road.

A large concern is the blowing and drifting of snow on to previously plowed roads. Bitter cold is expected to grip New Jersey over the next three days. South Brunswick Township Municipal Building will open on a delay at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Temperatures dipped well into the teens overnight (a few areas in the single digits). Expect similar conditions Friday and Saturday as winds stay up and temps remain very cold. Photo from South Brunswick police.
