A school in South Brunswick is one of 19 that has been removed from the state’s watch list, according to a published report.

School officials received notices that their efforts to improve led to their removal from the list of focus schools, according to a report in njspotlight.com.

Focus Schools comprise about 10 percent of schools with the overall lowest subgroup performance, a graduation rate below 75 percent and the widest gaps in achievement between different subgroups of students. Focus Schools receive targeted and tailored solutions to meet the school’s unique needs,’’ according to the state Department of Education.

Constable School in South Brunswick was one of two Middlesex County schools to be removed from the list, the report said.

The other was the Piscataway campus of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School, according to njspotlight.com.
