South Brunswick Schools Closed Wednesday

South Brunswick school district will be closed Wednesday, March 15, superintendent Dr. Gary McCartney confirmed to Patch. South Brunswick Municipal Offices will have a delayed opening at 10:30 a.m.

East Brunswick school district will also remain closed Wednesday, as will North Brunswick, New Brunswick, South Amboy and Spotswood. Many other nearby districts, such as Freehold, Marlboro Twp. and Middlesex borough, are having delayed openings instead of a full closure Wednesday.

Dr. McCartney said he made the decision, "Out an abundance of caution and a concern for the amount of ice on sidewalks, at bus stops and at crosswalks, as well as black ice on some roadways."
