South Brunswick Schools Honor 20 Years of Service
District honors staff members who reached 20 year milestone during ceremony at Monday's Board of Education meeting.

The South Brunswick School District honored 21 staff members for reaching the milestone of 20-years of service to South Brunswick's students during Monday's Board of Education meeting.
"1990 was a very good year for hires," said Assistant Superintendent Joanne Kerekes with a laugh during the meeting, as she herself was one of the honored staff members to reach the 20-year mark. "I celebrate with you tonight with great pride to be in such a wonderful place."
The Brunswick Acres choir performed for the honorees during the recognition ceremony, which culminated with Kerekes reading a message from various district personnel which described the contributions each of the staff members have given to South Brunswick.

"We must always model what it is that we want from our students," said Superintendent Gary McCartney to the honorees during the ceremony. "You decided that what you want from our students is commitment. Then you decided you would demonstrate that commitment so our youngsters could learn that commitment."
Also presented to the honored staff members were framed works of art painted by the talented art students in South Brunswick's elementary schools, as each piece was matched to represent each staff member's commitment to South Brunswick.

"When you have people who have dedicated their careers to an organization they become a valuable asset," said Board of Education President Stephen Parker. "When you have an organization like a school, they become your most valuable asset."
Congratulations to the South Brunswick School District's staff members for achieving 20 years of service:
