South Brunswick ShopRite To Open Wednesday, Nov. 6

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The highly anticipated South Brunswick ShopRite will open this Wednesday, Nov. 6, the store announced. This store will also offer ShopRite from Home online ordering, with store pick-up and home delivery options.

The South Brunswick ShopRite will be located in Heritage Plaza at 4154 Rt. 1 north in Monmouth Junction. The store will open its doors Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7:00 a.m. with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

This will be a 72,000-square-foot store. It is a "Saker ShopRite" owned by the Saker family, which owns 32 ShopRite grocery stores across New Jersey. South Brunswick is their newest location.

The Saker family also owns 30 pharmacies, two liquor stores, and Dearborn Market and Garden Center in Holmdel.

The new ShopRite of South Brunswick will include:

• A 2,500-square-foot nutrition center with more than 3,000 items, including an assortment of natural, organic, gluten free and allergy-friendly foods. The center will be staffed with Nutrition Associate experts with knowledge of all the products.

• A wide assortment and selection of famous artisan breads
• Expanded selections of international food items
• Extensive selections of domestic and imported cheeses from around the world
• A floral department with associates who can help design custom bouquets on site
• Full-service custom meat counter with trained butchers
• Fresh seafood counter
• Online ShopRite From Home pickup and delivery options

The new store is outfitted with the latest energy-saving and sustainable technologies in refrigeration, lighting and recycling. Some of these features include glass doors on the dairy and freezer cases, LED and T-8 lighting, as well as a state-of-the-art bio-digester for reducing waste.
