A Crossroads South Middle School student has been honored for her essay about a South Brunswick elementary school teacher, according to a published report.

Nandika Bathula’s essay about Cambridge School teacher Michael Touhey won the local round of the Barnes & Noble My Favorite Teacher Essay Contest, according to a report in the South Brunswick Post.

The student and teacher were recognized at the Princeton Barnes & Noble, and Touhey is now in the running for the bookseller’s regional Teacher of the Year award, the Post said.
