South Brunswick Swimming Season Concludes at Meet of Champions
Vikings boys were 10-2, girls 10-1 this season.

Although everyone involved would have loved for it to last one more day, the South Brunswick High School swimming teams had a great season.
South Brunswick finished its season competing in the Meet of Champions this past weekend at Gloucester County Institute of Technology. Unfortunately, none of the South Brunswick swimmers were able to advance out of Saturday's preliminary round into the state finals on Sunday.
"The kids swam okay, but were not at their best because most of them are training for other meets that they have coming up," South Brunswick Coach John Harding noted.

Andrew Kudwitt was 26th in the 100 free in a time of 50.11.

Calvin Chiu was 36th in the 100 backstroke in a time of 57.28.
Lincoln Harris was scheduled to compete in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM, but he was too sick to compete in the meet. As a result, South Brunswick's 200 medley relay also didn't compete. In addition to Harris, that relay was scheduled to include Calvin Chiu, Ryan Finch and Andrew Kudwitt.
South Brunswick did compete as a relay in the 200 yard free, finishing 31st in a time of 1:33.38. That relay included Calvin Chiu, Tyler Blackburn, Ryan Finch and Andrew Kudwitt.

The 200 medley relay placed 39th in a time of 1:59.37.
As a team this year, the South Brunswick boys were 10-2, which included a win over Montgomery in the states. The boys won the Raider Relays and placed second in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament.
The girls were 10-1, with the only loss coming to Hunterdon Central in the states. The girls were second in the Raider Relays and fourth in the GMC.
"We had a great season -- on both the boys and girls side," Harding said. "We had nine kids qualify for The Meet of Champions, which is great."
