South Brunswick Switches To New Phone System

The township is switching to a new phone system Wednesday, and officials expect connectivity issues to arise any time during the day.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Township will be switching over to a new phone system on Wednesday.

The change was expected to begin at 8:30 a.m., the township's Information Technology Director said.

Calls to the main number at 732-329-4000 may experience some routing issues initially during the changeover. However, calls to 911 will not be affected.

On the new system, the automated attendant messages will sound different, but the options for the various department menus will not change.

Those experiencing issues getting through on Wednesday should call back half-hour later. Officials expect connectivity issues to arise any time during the day.
