SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 19-year-old South Brunswick teen was arrested last Friday on charges of manufacturing child pornography, endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of child pornography, extortion, cyber harassment and terroristic threats.
Daniel House, 19, of South Brunswick was arrested April 19 by federal marshals at Atlantic City airport, and charged with a whopping 35 criminal counts, which include three counts of manufacturing child pornography in the first degree.
House would create fictitious identities online and then harass, threaten and extort young women, according to authorities. South Brunswick police Chief Raymond Hayducka said his officers have been working on this case for more than a year.

“This case came together because dedicated detectives pursued leads for over a year. It was great investigative work by South Brunswick Detective Brian Sites and Middlesex County Prosecutors Office Detective Ryan Tighe to follow the leads through fictitious accounts and encrypted social media networking sites to capture this defendant,” said Hayducka.
The investigation was done by the South Brunswick police and the Middlesex County prosecutor’s office. Detectives executed search warrants at the teen's home and seized his electronic devices. Police say they recovered more than 1,000 items depicting the sexual exploitation of children
from House's devices.

Police say that from at least September 2017 to December 2018, House created and distributed child pornography. During this same time period, he assumed a false identity on social networking sites with the purpose to extort and harass victims. He is charged with endangering minors for the online activities he conducted, police said, as well as six counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the third degree, one count of possession of child pornography in the second degree, six counts of extortion in the second degree, six counts of cyber harassment in the third degree and one count of terroristic threats in the fourth degree.
House is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick. His detention hearing — when a judge will decide if he stays in jail until trial — will be this Friday, April 26.
