South Brunswick Vikings Win Championship Quarterfinal

Wide receiver Mohamed Jabbie and quarterback Josh Liao were standouts.

The South Brunswick Vikings won the State Championship quarterfinal playoff game Friday night, beating the Hunterdon Central Red Devils 46-7.

Standout players include quarterback Josh Liao, who ran the ball in for a touchdown from three yards out; as well as running backs Wendell Allen and Jaier Garett, and Justin Shorter, who wrapped up the Vikings win with a touchdown in the third quarter. As always, defensive back/wide receiverMohamed Jabbie was an essential part of the win, with 63-yard and 21-yard pass receptions to score, according to TAP Into South Brunswick-Cranbury.

The Vikings will next play the semifinal game Friday night, Nov. 20. The game starts at 7 p.m. at South Brunswick High School. Be there to cheer on the Vikings!

They will take on the winner of Saturday afternoon’s game between Manalapan and Trenton, scheduled for 1 p.m.
