A South Brunswick woman was arrested after police say they found needles and heroin when they pulled her over in Plainsboro.

A South Brunswick woman was arrested after police say they found needles and heroin when they pulled her over in Plainsboro.

Nora R. Vassilev, 28, of Holly Court, in the Monmouth Junction section of town was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday in Plainsboro.

She was driving a 2002 Toyota Echo on Plainsboro Road when a Plainsboro officer stopped her because she was not wearing a seatbelt, police said in a news release.

Police said they then found five hypodermic needles, approximately 100 empty glassine wrappers and three glassine envelopes containing heroin.

Vassilev was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Hypodermic Needles. She was also issued summonses charging her with CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Wear a Seatbelt, and Maintenance of Lamps.

She was released on her own recognizance.
