South Brunswick Youth Police Academy Returns This Summer, Here's How To Apply

The free program runs two sessions in July and is limited to 30 students each. Applications are due by May 1.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The South Brunswick Township Police Department is accepting applications for its 2026 Youth Police Academy, a free week-long summer program open to students entering sixth grade in September.

The academy will be held at the South Brunswick Police Department, 540 Ridge Road, with two sessions available: July 13-17 and July 20-24, both running 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Participants will receive hands-on instruction in crime scene investigation, arrest procedures, motor vehicle stops, fire safety and basic first aid. Each student will receive a police-issued uniform, including a T-shirt, shorts and hat. The program concludes with a graduation ceremony open to families, with a pizza lunch on the final day.
