Special Freedom Film Series; The Test of Freedom at SBPL

See the film The Test of Freedom at the South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Jct. on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. 

 

The Test of Freedom is a winner of the 2013 Filmmaker’s Choice Award at the San Diego Black Film Festival.  It is about the challenges of being a Muslim-American.  The Library is hoping to have the film’s director Khaliff Watkins here at the Library for the discussion following the film.  The film length is 71 mins.

The Library is presenting a special series of films featuring themes related to equality and human rights.  In October, the Library kicked off the series with Freedom Riders, a film about a 1960s band of civil rights activists in the Deep South.
