In support of SB School Board incumbent Deven Patel

I support South Brunswick School Board incumbent candidate Deven Patel for upcoming elections on November 4, 2014

Dear Editor:

I live in South Brunswick since 1994 and very proud to be a resident of one of the most culturally diverse township in the state. The township has benefits of city as well as country side living and has lot to offer to our community. Our school system is very competitive and safe and teachers are highly professional and dedicated. The Board of Education elections are coming close and I have been following the candidates running this year. I have known and also met all the candidates personally in the past. One candidate I have known him personally as a friend, community worker and dedicated citizen who is Deven Patel. I have known Deven for more than 10 years as a resident of South Brunswick. I can express my sincere and self-less opinion about him that he is very dedicated, hard-working, honest and loyal individual as a current serving member in school board for the past three and half years. Deven has triplets attending the South Brunswick Public Schools. He is employed as a Civil Engineer at NJ Department of Transportation. Deven serve as a Chairman of the South Brunswick Township Transportation Advisory Committee and a member of the Middlesex County Transportation Coordinating Committee representing South Brunswick Township. He has been actively involved in school board committees as a Chair of Curriculum and Academic policy, Policy Committee and District Evaluation Advisory Committee (DEAC). He serves as a school liaison for Cambridge Elementary School, Crossroads North Middle School and South Brunswick High School. In addition, Deven also served as a Vice President and Secretary for the Middlesex County School Boards. As a current school board member, Deven has maintained and enhanced district policy, core curriculum standards, suggested and implemented school security protocols for safe environment for children and link between South Brunswick community and Board of Education. I am very confident that Deven will continue to serve in his second term to continue to support curriculum at all school levels, support safe environment for students to achieve higher academic skills and support teacher mentoring, information technology and continuing education programs. He is an incumbent South Brunswick will need to continue serving so he can ensure that opportunities for all students are maintained to include music and athletics programs, community education programs for adults and ensure the balancing between children and tax payers are its best in the township. I would strongly support Deven Patel in the upcoming school board election and wish him all the best to be re-elected to serve in the next term.

Dr. Tushar B. Patel
