South Brunswick, NJ - After the fiasco that was the last South Brunswick schools superintendent, Dr. Jerry Jellig, the school district has begun its search for a permanent replacement and this time, the district is asking parents directly: What do you want to see in a new superintendent?

The district put out a new parent survey on its Facebook page Thursday night: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/W5VZVG3

Jellig resigned in May, just two years into his five-year contract, after he was placed on administrative leave by the School Board after allegations of impropriety. Writes the district:

The South Brunswick School District is beginning the process of securing a new Superintendent of Schools for the 2017-2018 school year. Prior to formally advertising this position, the Board of Education is seeking stakeholder feedback regarding the next Superintendent.

A Superintendent Search Survey has been designed to provide parents, staff and community members with an opportunity to share thoughts and opinions about the desired qualities and skills of the next Superintendent. This survey will be available through the month of September. The survey results will be used during the advertising and initial screening process of applicants in order to determine the candidate pool for interviews. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey so that your voice can be part of this important process. Thanks for participating.
