Teen Driver Crashes Car, Damages Entrance Of South Brunswick Deli: PD

A 17-year-old Edison teen was speeding on Georges Road when the crash occurred. No injuries were reported.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Over the weekend, a teen driver crashed his parents' car, completely totaling it, South Brunswick police said. No injuries were reported.

On March. 11, at 1 a.m., a 17-year-old Edison teen was speeding on Georges Road in his parents 2000 Corvette when he lost control, police said. The car left the road, struck a curb, a traffic sign, and a utility pole at the entrance of Pierre's of South Brunswick parking lot. The teen told authorities he lost control of the vehicle after hitting a puddle, police said.

According to the investigation conducted by Patrolman First Class Sean Roberts, the driver was going too fast for the road conditions causing him to lose control.

Monmouth Junction Fire Department responded to the call due to fluid leaking from the vehicle. The teen was issued two summonses, one for careless driving and the second for driving during restricted hours as a new driver.
