A family from Texas in a grey sedan was traveling south on Rt. 1, according to Tap Into South Brunswick. At about 9:10 p.m. Thursday, they tried to make a left turn at the New Road intersection. That's when they crashed head-on into a white sedan heading north on Rt. 1.

The grey sedan smashed into the concrete divider. The white car was sent spiraling onto New Road. Four members of the same Texas family were in the sedan, and the white car had two occupants. Six people total were injured, some of them seriously. They were all taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where the woman succumbed to her injuries on Friday.
