Three South Brunswick Families Displaced By Fires Seek Community Aid

The township's social services department is coordinating aid.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Three South Brunswick families are seeking community support after losing their homes to fires in recent weeks.

While all residents escaped safely, the Moye, Permual, and Carbajal-Diaz families lost nearly everything they owned and are now working to rebuild their lives, South Brunswick Socail Services said.

The Moye family lost their Regal Drive home in Monmouth Junction to a fire on Jan. 29. The blaze destroyed everyday necessities, family heirlooms, and irreplaceable personal items. Joe, Michele, Rock, Jordyn, and Greg Anderson escaped safely, but the home was damaged. A GoFundMe has started to help the family. You can click here for the link.

The same Regal Drive fire also destroyed the home of the Permual family of four, including two children, leaving them displaced and facing an uncertain recovery. At this time, the family is requesting gift card donations to assist with immediate needs. Those interested can help by donating Target, Walmart, ShopRite, or Amazon gift cards.

On Jan. 17, a fire at Brookside Mobile Home Park displaced the Carbajal-Diaz family. The mother, father, two teenage daughters (Lily and Maria), and their pets lost their home, and both daughters and their father were hospitalized following the incident. The family is now focused on healing and recovery. You can access their fundraiser here.
