Unlocked Cars Entered In Monroe Twp., Garages Opened

The break-ins were Wednesday night. In two of the instances, the suspects opened the homeowners' garage doors using remotes in the cars.

MONROE, NJ — Monroe Twp. police are currently investigating a series of vehicle burglaries, where several unlocked cars were entered Wednesday night.

In two of the instances, the suspects opened the homeowners' garage doors using remotes inside the vehicles.

These incidents occurred in the area of Primrose Acres, police said. A few weeks ago the same thing occurred at homes in Heritage Chase, The Regency and on Mounts Mill Rd.

In two of the cases, the suspect opened the resident’s garage door with the remote located in the vehicle. Anyone with information or helpful home security video recordings from the named areas are asked to contact the Monroe Twp. Police Department Detective Bureau at (732) 521-0222.

Monroe police remind residents to please lock your parked vehicles and do not leave cash, coin, personal information, and/or valuables in your cars.
