Watch Children, Grandparents Saved In North Brunswick Condo Fire
North Brunswick patrol officers arrived to find two small children and their grandparents stranded on a second-floor balcony Saturday night.

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Check out these stunning two videos of North Brunswick police officers and residents helping a set of grandparents and two young children escape from a fire this past Saturday night, after they had become trapped on a balcony.
The video were caught by police officers' body cameras.
The fire occurred in a condo complex on Albury Way this past Saturday, Dec. 8 and had fully engulfed two units when police officers arrived on the scene at 10:19 p.m. When North Brunswick patrol officers got there, they found two small children and their grandparents stranded on the second-floor balcony.

The front door area, their only other means of escape, was blocked by fire. Officer Joseph Grasso scaled the balconies and climbed to the second floor. He removed the children, and dropped them down to other officers on the ground, who caught them. The same was done with the children’s grandparents.
One of those officers who caught them was an off-duty Port Authority police officer who lives nearby. Firefighters arrived shortly after and went to work on extinguishing the multi-alarm blaze.

"All involved did an excellent job," said North Brunswick police Capt. Brian Hoiberg. "We are happy to report that in the end, there were no serious injuries to report."
