Why I Love My Library

A Message Campaign to Show Your Love

Birthday gifts from the heart mean the most, even to a library. South Brunswick Public Library is asking for your love letters all through February to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2018.

Each month of the year, SBPL is honoring its anniversary in a different, meaningful way. February is for love letters.

There will be three message-writing campaigns through the month: adults age 18 and older, young adults, and children.

Adults are asked to please tell us in 50 words or less why you love us. Yes, we are blatantly fishing for compliments. Don’t’ hold back. Writers can express their feelings in whatever written format they chose, be it an essay, poem, haiku, rap song, or other.

Young adults may fill out a submission card with five words describing what she or he likes best about the Library.

The Children’s Department will have hearts for the younger set to either draw or write about their favorite things at the Library.

Share your feelings or a memory. Perhaps the library helped you to solve a problem, meet a new friend, discover your family history, or answer an important question. Or, maybe you just like the furniture.

Submission forms will be available by February 1. Ask a staff member for assistance.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!
