Willows Swim Team Continues Domination

The Willows swim team finished their regular dual meet season last week by competing in two dual meets. The Willows finished strong beating their last two competitors, bringing their record to 8-1.  

On Wednesday, the Willows traveled to Watchung to swim against the Brookhill swim club.   The Willows dominated by a score of 188 to 85. 

Then on Saturday, the Willows hosted Round Top, and swam to another victory by a score of 150 to 126. During the home meet, three individual and two relay records were broken.  

First, Andrew Kudwitt broke his own record in the 13/18 boys 50 meter freestyle with a new time of 25.72. 

Then in the 13/14 boys age group, Harrison Kudwitt broke the 100 meter breastroke with a time of 1:18.34 and Justin Atkinson broke the 100 meter backstroke with a time of 1:10.64. 

Later in the meet, both the 13/18 boys and girls swam their respective relays in record time.  The girls 200 meter medley relay, Amanda Stankiewicz, Emily Charniga, Cassie Cipriano and Gessica Charniga swam a record time of 2.18.35. For the boys, Justin Atkinson, Harrison Kudwitt, Ryan Finch and Andrew Kudwitt swam the 200 meter free relay in 1:48.02.
