Woman Had Heroin At South Brunswick Motel, Police Say

This South River woman was arrested Oct. 31 at La Mirage Motel on Rt. 1. She was wanted on a gun charge out of South River.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A woman was arrested inside a Rt. 1 motel in South Brunswick on Halloween, police say, where she was found with drug paraphernalia and heroin. The woman was wanted on outstanding drug and gun charges.

At 5 p.m. on Tuesday October 31, South Brunswick police received information that a wanted suspect was staying at the La Mirage Motel on Rt. 1. Police went to La Mirage, where they learned that the female suspect, Kellita Ribau, 27, of South River, was wanted out of Middlesex County Superior Court for third-degree drug charges. She was also wanted on a gun charge out of South River.

Officers located the room Ribau was in, but she refused to open the door. Police forced the door open and discovered Rebau in the room with narcotic paraphernalia and heroin, they said. Ribau was taken to South Brunswick police headquarters and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of hypodermic syringes, and obstruction of justice.

She was lodged in the Middlesex County Correction Center on the outstanding Superior Court charges.
