This was the scene at 10:15 Tuesday morning at Rt. 522 and Summerfield Blvd., South Brunswick police said.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A woman who told police she was running late to either her job at a nail salon or an appointment at a nail salon ran a red light and caused this ambulance to flip Tuesday in South Brunswick, police said. Photos from the crash can be seen above and below.

The accident occurred at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Rt. 522 and Summerfield Blvd. The ambulance was headed to an emergency call, with its lights and sirens going, and it had the green light when Nhi Hoang, 45, of Bloomfield made a left-hand turn against a red arrow, police said.

Her actions cut the ambulance off and caused it to flip on its side, police said. The two EMS workers inside received minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
