WSJ: Dow Jones CEO to Resign

Les Hinton is reportedly resigning as Chief Executive Officer of Dow Jones over the News Corp. phone hacking scandal.

The Chief Executive Officer of Dow Jones & Co. will resign his post today, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. Les Hinton is reportedly resigning from the News Corp. owned company over the phone-hacking scandal that has surrounded Rupert Murdoch and his UK-based News of the World publication.

Dow Jones has a large office complex located on Route 1 in Monmouth Junction.

Les Hinton, who headed News Corp.'s News International unit when the phone-hacking allegations roiling the media empire first arose, on Friday will resign his post as chief executive officer of Dow Jones & Co., according to a person familiar with the matter.

Mr. Hinton had come under increasing scrutiny recently as a cascade of allegations indicated the problems at the center of the scandal were more widespread than he had twice led a parliamentary committee to believe.
