The restoration will include new walking paths, landscaping, benches, and trash receptacles, while also improving accessibility, drainage, and the park's long-term sustainability.

Planned work includes replacing existing walkways, installing drainage systems, constructing new sidewalks and ADA-compliant curb ramps, regrading the site, and extensive landscaping.

Originally established in 1908 after local residents purchased and donated the land for public use, Grove Park is a significant part of South Orange's history. Township officials said the project has been carefully designed to preserve the park's historic character and original landscape while modernizing the space for future generations.

Project plans are available through the Township of South Orange here.
