• Achieve to Host 24th Annual Newstead 5K on September 26 (villagegreennj.com) — A major fundraiser for the South Orange–Maplewood schools, the 24th Annual Newstead 5K is set for Sept. 26, with proceeds backing tutoring, arts, STEM and other Achieve Foundation programs. South Orange native and Olympian Hazel Clark will kick off the family-friendly morning, which also features kids' races and training support from local sponsors.
