$7.5K Grant Awarded To Springfield Library

Springfield Library was among 20 libraries to receive grant money to be used to strengthen children's programs

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Springfield Library was among 20 public libraries to receive grant money that will be used to broaden and strengthen children’s programs.

Springfield received $7,503 through the 2016 Union County Library Grant, which is part of Union County Freeholder Chairman Bruce H. Bergen's “Union County at Work and Play” 2016 initiative for countywide economic development and quality of life improvements.

“Educational activities are a fundamental part of a library’s mission, and these grants will help our local public libraries meet the growing demand for up-to-date children’s programming throughout the Union County community,” said Bergen.
