SPRINGFIELD, NJ — An upcoming project planned on the Caldwell Place bridge culvert has been delayed.
Union County has delayed the project as it reviews a change order needed to correct a stormwater issue.
The delay has pushed back the completion date to July 10.
According to Springfield's supervisor of the Department of Public Works, Robert Boettcher, the township's contractor is awaiting approval to install two new storm basins designed to fix flood problems in the roadway.
“Once the change order is approved, they’ll install the basins, followed by the curbing and pave the road,” Boettcher said at a June 23 Township Committee meeting.
