Springfield Seniors Can Get With The Program This September

Springfield's September calendar offers residents 55 and older fitness, games, health services and local transportation.

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Springfield residents 55 and older can fill September with fitness, games and help getting around town.

The Recreation Department's September 2026 calendar includes bingo, poker, dominoes, Rummikub, puzzles and computer lab access. Indoor open-play pickleball and exercise classes including "Shape Up with Liz," "Forever Fit with Betsy" and "Music & Movement with Lisa" require free annual registration.

Residents can RSVP for a free RWJBarnabas Health flu clinic or a breakfast bus trip to Green Brook Pancake House. The senior club meeting and luncheon require an RSVP and $5 payment by Thursday, September 17.

Free weekday bus service operates within Springfield from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some exceptions. Advance reservations are required for rides to doctors, pharmacies, supermarkets, the library and other Springfield destinations. Call 973-912-2227 for information.
