"BE OUR GUEST" AT BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR.

North Plainfield, New Jersey, June 20, 2016- Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR. is playing at The Sundance School for two performances on June 24 & 25th at 10 AM. The 60-minute musical, designed for middle-school aged performers, is based on the 1994 Broadway production and Disney’s 1991 animated feature film. Sundance Theater Camp cast contains approximately 35 students, ages 4 to 14. The show features children from all over Central Jersey including Sylvia Ardon of North Plainfield, Lev Bitterman of Edison, Ava Ostroff of Westfield, Madison McCarthy of Berkley Heights, Phoebe Merrigan of Maplewood, and David Pressley of Westfield.

Joann Merrigan, The Sundance School’s Creative and Performing Arts Program Director is thrilled to be celebrating the camps 9th summer season. She choose this musical to offer campers the opportunity to experience the joy performing can bring while cultivating the respect for the process of building a production. She states “Theatre skills and life skills go hand in hand. The lessons they learn with us here transcend the theatrical medium. Cooperating, collaborating and embracing the rich similarities and unique differences of our human family elevate children to a deeper understanding of themselves and others.”

Sundance is hosting two more theatre camp sessions this summer. Willy Wonka starts July 11th followed by Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids starting July 25th. Spots are filling up quick, so make sure you register ASAP!
