Beni Is Springfield's Pet Of The Week

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Meet Beni! He has been chosen as Springfield Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"What makes our little Beni so special is his cheerful personality. With nothing but tail wags and smiles (literally) he brings an immense amount of love to everyone he is around.

Beni is a huge part of our family, he sits at the dinner table with us, joins in on our family trips to the beach, and wakes all of us up individually, from bed to bed, in the morning.

Although Beni is a huge part of our lives, my dad especially is a huge part of his. He follows my dad around everywhere he goes, takes naps with him on the couch, and when my father does leave, Beni knows when he is home the minute he turns down the road.

We love our little Beni unconditionally and would love to share him with the town so they can see why we love him as much as we do."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the part of town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
