District 7 Democratic Congressional Candidates Forum

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Seven Democratic candidates running for a Congressional District 7 seat will speak during a forum on Wednesday.

The forum is being hosted by the Union County Democrats and partnering with grassroots resistance groups including Action Together Union County, Cranford Rising, NJ7 Forward, Summit Area Indivisible and Westfield 20/20.

The Congressional District 7 Candidate Forum will be held at Jonathan Dayton High School, 139 Mountain Ave., in Springfield at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Candidates include:

• Peter Jacob of Pluckemin
• Goutam Jois of Summit
• Tom Malinowski of Rocky Hill
• Lisa Mandelblatt of Westfield
• David Pringle of Cranford
• Scott Salmon of Scotch Plains
• Linda Weber of Berkeley Heights

“With nearly 500 residents and activists RSVP’d to attend tomorrow’s forum, it is obvious that the enthusiasm and support for this field of candidates remains strong and powerful. I am so proud of our efforts to engage and support the grassroots-led efforts to bring change to Central New Jersey," Union County Democrats Acting Chair Colleen Mahr said.
