Founded in 1957, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra is a highly recognized and greatly respected component of Europe's cultural life.  This performance is part of Hamburg's first U.S. tour since 2007.   Leading the orchestra, will be Maestro Jeffrey Tate, one of the most renowned and versatile British conductors of his generation.  Tate, is internationally known for his work as an opera conductor for such prestigious venues as Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, the Royal Opera House, Théâtre du Châtelet, Bastille Opera, Palais Garnier, and London’s Covent Garden.
