This evening the Union County Emerald Society is hosting their 30th anniversary with their annual Pub Night. This celebration will take place beginning 8:00pm at the Kenilworth Veterans Center, 33 South 21st Street, Kenilworth.
The fraternal organization of law enforcement officers and firefighters of Irish decent will honor Jim Sinnott as Irishman of the Year and Carol Martin as Irishwoman of the Year. There will be Irish entertainment provided by the Eamonn Ryan Band. Tickets are $25 per person and include beer, wine, soda and snacks and cost $25.
The Union County Emerald Society has deep roots in the communities of Union County and strives to celebrate Irish heritage and culture while also supporting important causes including Project Children, the Union County Baseball League and Hurricane Katrina relief.
