Fox Spotted At Springfield School
Breaking: A fox was spotted on Wednesday on the grounds of Thelma L. Sandmeier Elementary School in Springfield.
SPRINGFIELD, NJ — A fox has been spotted on Springfield's school grounds on Wednesday afternoon, school officials announced.
Thelma L. Sandmeier Elementary School Principal Michael Plias sent out a notice to parents around 2 p.m. reporting the fox sighting.
"To rule out any safety concerns, the Springfield Police Department has been notified to scan our school grounds and will be on hand at dismissal as a precaution," Plias said.

Plais added that recess was not impacted as the report of the fox sighting was made afterwards.
