WESTFIELD, NJ — Meet Frankie! He has been chosen as Westfield Patch's Pet Of The Week. Nominate your pet for Springfield's Pet of the Week!

"Meet Frankie, a 7 month old "Potcake" from Turks & Caicos. Frankie is from Potcake Place, a non-profit 100 percent volunteer based rescue, in Providenciales, TCI. We met Frankie on spring break and had to bring him home! We were able to arrange a courier and met Frankie in Newark Airport on May 10.

"Potcakes" are the feral dogs that live on the island and are given the name because restaurants use leftovers from the pots to make cakes for stray dogs. Frankie has adjusted well to life in New Jersey. He lives with his 2 year old Boston Terrier sister, Rosie, and his 10 year old twin brother and sister, Dylan & Cassidy.

Frankie goes to school at St. Hubert's. He enjoys walks around the neighborhood (Wilson) and through Mindowaskin Park but his favorite pastime is visiting Woofgang Bakery and getting treats from his friend Crystal.

Frankie is our love and we are lucky to call him ours. If you see him around town say "hi," but let him say hi to you first...as a feral dog he is cautious of strangers.
