Friends Vintage Jewelry Sale Returns to Springfield Library Sept. 30 - Oct. 2, 2016

Library Friends Annual Sale of Vintage fine and costume Jewelry and watches at the Springfield Public Library, Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2016

The Friends of the Springfield Free Public Library will hold their annual Vintage Jewelry Sale, Friday Sept. 30 - Oct. 2 , 10 am-4 pm on Friday and Saturday and 11 am - 4 pm on Sunday at the Springfield Public Library, 66 Mountain Ave. in Springfield. There will be a wide assortment of costume and fine jewelry and watches offered for sale. All battery operated watches come with brand new batteries.

Donations of vintage jewelry and watches are accepted all year long and may be brought to the library's circulation desk.

The Friends will also have for sale special, French fold note cards showcasing the library's entrance. These cards, first offered back in 1979, are again available for sale as the Friends lead up to their 50th anniversary in 2017. The cards sell for $10 a box. Friends' members can purchase 3 boxes for $25. The sale will also include a sampling of coffee table books, children's books, CD's, DVD's, audio books, and miscellaneous items donated to the Friends.

The Friends are an independent, tax exempt organization dedicated to assisting the library and welcomes new members all year long. Memberships start at $10. The next membership meeting will be in November in the library's meeting room. All the fund raising efforts go toward helping support the library's multitude of special programs and augmenting its limited budget for materials for children and adults.
